Hot or Not?

I must admit.....I am a slave to my manicurist. Having my nails done is a guilty pleasure. Although I love it, I must say it does do some damage to my nails. That is why for the past two months I have gone all natural or have done my nails myself.
Since I do love a good gel manicure I was super excited when I found out Nails Inc. had a gel effect top coat. I HAD TO BUY IT. SO I DID. I had high hopes for this little guy, but unfortunately, they were crushed. The application is lovely, but the sad part is it only lasts for about a day or two. I noticed it chipped insanely easy. That being said, I do use my hands a lot throughout the day so that could easily be part of it.

Hot or Not......NOT. The reason I bought it was because I thought it would have the longevity of an actual gel nail. Sadly that killed it for me.

PROS:
Easy Application
No air bubbles
Does give a gel effect
Nice consistency

CONS:
Chips within a 1-2 days
Not for girls who use their hands

What's In My Bag

Unless you are living under a rock, you've probably heard about how the 3.1 Philip Lim X Target collab basically sold out in hours. You also probably know that getting one of these babies online is nearly impossible. Now it's time to brag....... about how great my Mother is because she hunted one down for me! She walked into the house and yelled out that I got an early birthday present. Lets just say I nearly died.

Since getting a new bag the contents inside have drastically changed. My old bag was a black hole where things got lost on the daily. When I got my new bag I downsized to only a few essentials. I even clean my bag out daily so that it doesn't get consumed in clutter. # cleanfreak
So what exactly is in my bag?
1. My faux leather wallet from Tilly's. It looks like a saddle therefore I love it!
2. Covergirl lipstick in Sultry
3. The Balm lipstick in Plush Plum
4. Mini Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume
5. An old school foldable brush
6. Jergens lotion

A Weekend

Everyone said that once your best friends moves away things will change. I am here to say that whoever says that is a liar. My best friend moved to Tuscon a few months ago and I can honestly say I see her every two weeks IN PERSON.

Since she usually drives home every weekend we decided that last weekend we would go down and see  her. Although the trip was to visit her I must say that the trip opened my eyes on Tuscon. It even got me excited to start the college application process myself. For the most part everyone says it is the typical college town: a little ghetto, crowded, and young. I can 100% say that I was a tad nervous to go down there, but after being there it honestly feels like a sweet little town. Her dorm was amazingly cute with small touches from home. Her dorm complex was probably the most beautiful one I have ever seen.

For the most part she showed us the man places around town. We went to the mall where they sold Mexican snow cones with actual fruit. And of course we got Eegee's which they actually sell on campus. I haven't had it for two years and oh-my-gosh did it taste so good. The highlight of the trip was honestly doing the most simplest thing in America: playing ping-pong in the rec. room. Although we had no idea what were doing I must say that we are amazing.

I had a great time and I can't wait until I can see her again.

And then she went to go learn in the desert.

(Hagi took this last time it rained. I remember her driveway was so flooded I had to stay the night. #goodtimes)
I feel like in Arizona an hour away isn't really that far. I've traveled an hour before and it wasn't that bad. It isn't until your best friend moves an hour away and you realize that those last minute plans won't be happening anymore. A quick trip to In-&-Out becomes nearly impossible. But I know that it won't hurt our friendship whatsoever.

I am so proud of her for making her dreams come true. Within this next year big things are going to come her way. I know that she will achieve anything that she puts her mind to. That is why I am so happy that she is going away to university next week. We probably won't see each other for awhile but that doesn't mean that numerous phone calls and letters won't be sent. Plus it gives me a good reason to take a mini road trip now and then when things in QC get a little crazy.I love this gal and I can't wait to see what she accomplishes.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped make the switch over to this blog a little more easier. Although it might sound silly, making the switch to go under my real name was a challenge.

If you are new to this blog you might be wondering what the heck is she talking about!? For all you new readers for the past year I was blogging under a nickname until this month. That is why if you think you have seen this blog layout before, it is because you probably have.

Once again, thank you guys so much for following me on my blogging journey.
